2010-12

My works are based on four main elements: light, space, humans and architecture. The paintings portray a sharp contrast between light and shadow. They're like snapshots; fleeting recordings of people in various urban spaces. The atmosphere and tone of the composition is set by the area limited by architecture or the view spreading out in front of the viewer.

The letter and  number combinations in the paintingsreflect an urban landscape and a commercial culture. I see the letters primarily  as elements of composition, but I must concider their symbolic value. Letters form words, which might bring new meanings to my paintings.
