The theme of my recent work revolves around change, a constant and inevitable force in life. Change can come suddenly or slowly from within or from the outside, touching individuals or entire societies. It can be a single disruptive moment, like a crack in a familiar surface, or a slow transformation that we don’t recognize until it’s already reshaped everything.
I chose change as the central subject of my paintings because I have been reflecting on the fragile nature of the world around us. Lately, I’ve been struck by how quickly the things we take for granted can fall apart. Our lives, our environment, and our shared future all seem to be in transition. Climate change, political instability, a war in Europe are reshaping what we once thought of as stable. In these uncertain times, it’s difficult to see where we’re headed or how far the ripples of change will reach.
